Description: | Králický Sněžník is the highest peak (1,424 m) of the mountain range with the same name, which is also the third highest in the Czech Republic. The area was declared a national nature preserve in 1990. The name of the mountain is taken from the long winter period – the snow cover on the peak lasts up to 8 months of the year. From 1899 to 1973 a stone observation tower stood on the Polish side of the peak.
