The Birthplace of the first Czechoslovak president
Hodonín is in the heart of the Slovácko region in Moravia where the borders of the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Austria converge. Hodonín Spa was opened in 1979 and is one of the youngest spa facilities in the Czech Republic, which explains why the buildings and surrounding park look modern. The town is the birthplace of the first Czechoslovak president, T. G. Masaryk. The local mineral water, which is called brine, has a high content of iodine and bromine and is brought to the surface via three drill holes from a depth of almost two kilometres below the earth’s surface. The water is rated as being one of the very best of its kind. Like the many folk festivals and wine-tasting events held in the town, the spa also attracts many guests to Hodonín.
Natural curative resources
Natural hypertonic cold spring water, medium level of mineralisation, rich in iodine and bromine with an increased content of metaboric acid.
Musculoskeletal diseases (post-operative and posttraumatic conditions, rehabilitation following joint replacement), neurological diseases, circulatory diseases.
Free time activities
Walking and cycling in the surroundings, and boat rides on the River Morava. All this is possible and not only for spa guests.
