The village of Ostrožská Nová Ves is only eight kilometres from Uherské Hradiště in the heart of the Slovácko Region. It is surrounded by beautiful parks and lakes. The spa was founded in 1903 when chemical tests and experiments confirmed the curative properties of the water from the surrounding bogs and marshes. The spa is surrounded by a park that extends over an area of more than ten hectares. The surrounding lowlands are protected by the ridges of the White Carpathians and Chřiby Hills. A speciality of the spa is the SINOVA brand of natural cosmetics made with water from the unique sulphurous spring.
