A spa dressed in green
The town of Luhačovice lies in a picturesque valley in the White Carpathian conservation area in the south-eastern part of Moravia. The history of the local spa goes back over three centuries. Luhačovice’s heyday came in the early 20th century following developments in modern balneology, and the town gradually became a very popular spa frequented by many famous personalities such as the composer Leoš Janáček.
Natural curative resources
Natural mineral waters containing sodium, calcium, magnesium and carbon dioxide at a temperature of 10 – 12°C. Most spa facilities have these resources on tap in their balneological centres. Some facilities prescribe drinking cures involving resources that are freely available to all.
Respiratory, digestive, metabolic, musculoskeletal, circulatory and oncological diseases.
Free time activities
The town has a sports centre, indoor swimming pools, sauna, solarium, tennis courts, sports grounds, miniature golf course, bowling alley and a sports equipment hire centre. Anglers can use the local reservoir. The surrounding area is perfect for hiking and cycling.
