| Description: | The oldest Czech monastery, formed by two single-storey oblong buildings around two courtyards surrounded by cloisters. It was established in 972 by Prince Boleslav II and his sister Mlada, who was his first abbess. In around 1300, the Romanesque monastery was rebuilt in Early Gothic style. In 1657-80 it was rebuilt into Early Baroque style. |
