Description: | The purpose of this plague column is obvious – it expresses thanks to Virgin Mary and other patrons for the retreat of the plague which had spread in Bohemia. Jan Křtitel Bulla allegedly carved and built the sandstone sculpture between 1715 and 1717. The central column with Virgin Mary at its top is surrounded by the sculptures of St. Ann, St.James, St.Sebestian, St.Lawrence, St.Charles of Boromei, St.Wenceslaw and St. John of Nepomuk.
