| Description: | The castle is first mentioned in 1318 and following a fire in 1573 was rebuilt in the Renaissance style. In the second half of the 16th century a Czech Brotherhood school was founded at Košumberk to educate young Protestant nobles (later including, among others, the famous warrior Albrecht of Waldstein). Mini deer park
| Description: | The mini deer park of Košumberk castle established in 2006 shall, once finished, cover an area of 1 hectare, and a maximum of 10 animals are planned (European fallow deer, red deer, Cameroon sheep or mouflon). The best time to see the animals is in morning and evening, during grazing, and in the winter during feeding by the feed trough. Entering the fenced area and feeding the animals is strictly prohibited. |
