Description:	The observation tower is situated on the highest peak of the Orlické Mts., Velké Deštné (earlier known as Sedmihradská Mt.). The structure is an observation tower from four rough-hewn tree trunk connected in the shape of a pyramid. A simple observation deck is located at the height of a mere 5 metres and offers a lovely 360° view. The observation tower was built by Náchod scouts in August 1992; the structure was dedicated to Štefan Matejík, the local game warden and former member of the Mountain... more information The observation tower is situated on the highest peak of the Orlické Mts., Velké Deštné (earlier known as Sedmihradská Mt.). The structure is an observation tower from four rough-hewn tree trunk connected in the shape of a pyramid. A simple observation deck is located at the height of a mere 5 metres and offers a lovely 360° view. The observation tower was built by Náchod scouts in August 1992; the structure was dedicated to Štefan Matejík, the local game warden and former member of the Mountain Rescue Service, on the occasion of his 60th birthday. The site is named Štefan Observation Tower after him. The tower underwent reconstruction in 2003.
