| Description: | The massive Gothic castle was founded in the late 15th century as a water stronghold. Since the middle of the 16th century, it has been losing its significance and after the Thirty Years' War it was to be razed by the order of Ferdinand III. However, its owners - House Černín - succeeded in saving the castle, which was used as a granary thereafter. After the World War Two, it was fully restored. |
