| Description: | Foundation of the monastery was initiated in the 11th century, by the later canonized Procope, who became its first abbot. Until 1080 - until papal ban - local church services were given in a Slavonic language. The tradition of the Slavonic liturgy was restored only by Charles IV in the 14th century, when the originally Romanesque building got its Gothic look.
