Description:

In 1824 the Emperor and Empress Teresa (from where the name was derived) visited the cave. In 1933 the statue of Our Lady of Lourdes was placed here, which is why the place is referred to as the Moravian Lourdes. In the 1950s the cave was closed. In 2001 the pilgrimage site was renewed and it is the only site in the Republic that is located underground. Since 1997 the cave has served as a place for speleotherapy for children with respiratory problems.
