Description:	Historical building – Ottendorfer’s House, built as a public library and study hall with a concert hall. It was built by a citizen of New York, the patron Svitav and famous native Valentin Oswald Ottendorfer. The building was named in his honour.

Je na místě říci: KONEČNĚ JE U NÁS MUZEUM ESPERANTA! Bylo opravdu trapné, že národ Komenského, vyznávající nejlepší tužby lidstva, neměl muzeum esperanta. Po roce 1989 si lidé naivně představovali, že bude mít u nás konečně ESPERANTO zelenou ( v roce 1988 mi hrozil vyhazov ze Sboru nápravné výchovy kvůli dopisování mimo státy Varšavské smlouvy!), alespoň jako je tomu v Maďarsku, kde se může z esperanta maturovat stejně jako z němčiny či angličtiny. Stydím se i za rok 1992, kdy měl být každoročně probíhající Světový kongres esperantistů na památku J.A.Komenského v Praze, ale nikdo z našich politiků nebyl ochoten převzít nad kongresem záštitu jak se to běžně děje ve světě! Tak jsme vzpomínali na Komenského ve Vídni... Měli bychom se všichni, i naši politici, zamyslet nad myšlenkou vznášející se nad Evropskou unií: Když bylo užitečné zavést EURO, tak proč není užitečné zavést ESPERANTO ? Nebo snad nepotřebují jazyky malých evropských národů OCHRANU PŘED ANGLIČTINOU, FRANCOUZŠTINOU ČI NĚMČINOU? Ať žije esperanto! VIVU ESPERANTO! Translate: react
