Description:	Born in Hukvaldy, where you will find a memorial to him. His work is regarded as one of the pillars of contemporary world music. Apart from opera, he wrote vocal, orchestral and chamber compositions and cantatas. Every year in June is the Janáček Hukvaldy Festival. The foremost Moravian opera house bears his name.
