Tycho Brahe (14.12.1546 - 24.10.1601)

Description: Danish astronomer, astrologer and alchemist, who was considered the best observer until the invention of the telescope. In 1571 he acquired his very own observatory and observed the explosion of supernovas in the Kasiopej constellation. In 1599 he was invited by Rudolph II to Prague, where he worked as the Emperor's astrologer. In Benatky nad Jizerou he built a new observatory, where he was assisted by Jan Kepler.
